Hello, so my buddy picked up an 09 vrod, threw some TAB pipes on it and were way to loud, ordered the baffle, still too loud. other than going back to stock what other "quieter" pipe options does he have? he wants a little more throaty than stock but not as loud as what he has.
my 2008 ultra has rine harts on that he loves the sound and would welcome something like that.
I have the Tabs with no baffles and they are just right for me, but he has a few other quieter choices. He can look at Bassani or the V&H sound good but a tad quieter. The v&h would be the slip ons bc the full is loud.
There are lots of clips on youtube that might help.
I love the sound of the short TAB pipes. A cheap alternative to get a good sound but not nearly as loud as the TABs would be to VMOD the stock pipes. Basically drill 1/2 inch holes in the metal around the exhaust end. Its noticeably louder than stock but not obnoxious.
