I have an 07 egs want to put a set of "slip ons" I want little louder...... just not the stock sound ,but not enough to **** the old lady off she likes the stock sound, not alot of money it takes a couple of fire seasons to save enough any suggestion ???
Other than the HD touring exhaust, the S&S SPO mufflers sound good without too much extra sound. They sound like a big block chevy, deep, good rumble. I have them on my 06 FLHT and the only problem I've had is they will drag a bit on tight curves.

Check out the Rush 1.75's They sound great and are pretty quiet on the highway, well maybe not quiet but they really do sound great. Very deep rumble to them. I love mine. http://www.epiflex.com/rush_touring.html Scroll down and you can listen to them.
My sampson drag fishtails ran me $140. But they are loud as he!!. The wife couldn't stand the stock sound and wanted the loudest pipes I could get. Well, I got them now. Just explain to the wife that loud pipes saves lives, and makes you heard. Besides, you bought a Harley, not a Honda, right? j/k My pipes may not be what you are looking for, but I get NOTHING but positive comments on them. Have been told they sound like 'glass packs' on a old hot rod, if that gives you an idea.I know they aren't for everyone, but at less than $150, if you hate them, you could sell them and get a softer sounding set. Just a thought.
