I want to lower the bike about an inch without screwing up the ride... I was thinking about some of the newer Low shocks..54635-09? My current shocks are 13" EYE CENTER TO CENTER.

I will have some 11" lowering air shock that I will be taking off of my 09 Street Glide as soon as I get the replacements 12" shocks next week. I bought this bike used and the orginal owner had the stock 12" shocks taken off and replaced with the 11" lowering shocks. I want to go back to the 12" because when I ride 2 up my fat @$$ will bottom out the 11" when I hit a bigger bump in the road. These shocks are chrome and they have about 8000 miles on them. it's tempting, but I also ride 2 up on occasion and she wouldn't like a rough ride...my feet actually sit flat on the ground easily with the 13" stock shocks, but I miss sitting lower like I did on my softtail...so I thought that 12" would be nice.

How about some 2010 Road Glide Custom 12"?

 

as long as I find some shocks that fit, are in great shape, ride well, and are about an inch shorter than my stock Road King shocks... I'm interested. I have priced new 'aftermarket" air 12" shocks at $149 shipped...but don't know the quality...found new chrome "low" shocks with the exact same description as the HD Low...a 3/4" drop with no loss of riding comfort...and several pairs of used Low shocks, but just haven't found the right deal yet. I do appreciate any and all information as well...I'm old but take advice well. :^)
