78 fl starting problem

Default 78 fl starting problem
Bike died yesterday doing about 40 in third.When trying to restart pushed oil out of chain oiler and cranked like it was out of time.Towed home pulled pluggs did compression check,was fine,good spark,static time seems fine.Swapped out dyna s ignition with points plate out of 73 sporty same problem,cranks hard and will not start.Thanks for any thughts
