Hi to all
I'm a new member with a new bike or nearly new, I bought a 2007 xl883 with 500 miles on the clock from a HD dealer. I have twice had the bike layed up for a few days to return and find the battery down to 2v. The bike is fitted with HD immobiliser.
My question is, can anyone advise the normal discharge rate as this shelflife seems a bit short to me.
I will call the dealer but wish to have some insight first.
Also when I put the battery on charge the lower most relay chatters, so I remove the main fuse until charged.
I have tested the battery with a voltmeter when the battery is fully charged and connected, the meter reads 12.3v and drops to 11.5 over 10 hours.
any ideas??
