Welcome from Utah!

I'd do the trike option myself.

I understand riding with a side car takes some rider training.

I've ridden a trike (admittedly only in a parking lot) but it felt very easy and natural

Hello and Welcome! Trikes are a bit more centered feeling than the sidecars. I've only rode them briefly in parking lots, but felt the trike was easier to get a feel of. JMO though. Good luck with your decision!

Welcome from the California Central Valley. I just got a Tri Glide. Mainly because I think trikes are cool. I do have spells of vertigo, during which makes 2 wheels impossible to ride. If you get the side car, you could take the dog with you (LOL). Ride safe.
