Hi everyone I am new here and I hope someone could help me with some questions that I have. to start with i am recently disabled and would still like to ride. MY question is what would be better or easier to handle my bike turned into a trike or to buy a sidecar? I cannot handle the weight anymore due to my injury.and my balance is totally gone.i really miss rididng and I am a multimillionare (LOL)so I could afford either. any feedback would be appreicated.I have a 2005 softail flnsti. thanks and hope to hear from someone soon have a groovy day.
thank you for the input is the trike easier to control? your dog in the picture looks just like my fatty, his name is hunter but I call him fatty, oh by the way where did you get that picture of me. anyway back to the subject I will do some research on the best trike to buy. thank you again
I'm not disabled myself so have no specialist knowledge on the subject, but my gut feeling would be the Trike option.
In the UK we have a charitable organisation called NABD who can give advice to disabled riders and in some cases may (I believe) be able to partly assist with the costs of adapting a bike.
Before commiting yourself to one course or another try doing some Internet Searches to see if there are any similar organisations in the USA or your State. Even if theyre only able to offer advice and possibly recommend someone to do the work for you it would be worth having.
I'm sure there must be other disabled American riders on this forum. Hopefully one or more of them will see your this and be able to recommend such organisations.
Glad to have you with us and good luck on getting some helpful advice.
thank you very much for the info you gave me I will look into everything and as you said hopefully another disabled motorcyclist may see this ad too and be able to help me out in wisconsin as to who would be the best to have my bike converted. thank you again. as always ride safe
