Default Hello and Help

2000 heritage 88b motor (48K miles) carbed

I just had the cam chain tensioners replaced, although the weren't worn as bad as some posted but at 48K I was worried about them.

My issue now is that with hard acceleration in 1st or 2nd she will fall on her face and bog down. (bogs at 35 mph in 1st) Am I hitting the rev limiter? Is a cam out of time?

Would a compression check show a cam timing issue?
  • Starts and runs fine unless I nail it in low gears
  • She seems louder than before
  • There was a lot of gas in the air cleaner
Thanks for any help!

Welcome from the Texas Gulf Coast region. Post those questions in the tech forum, you are likely to get a better response there. Good luck.
