Default Tire repair kits

I've got a Stop-N-Go repair kit which I carry in my swingarm bag but have yet to use it in anger. It seems like a slick little compact system though. I also carry an Antigravity XP1 and the tiny $20 air pump it runs off which is likewise unused.

So, I was wondering about "actual experiences" with some of the various tire repair kits available and what user opinions were about them. I've seen YouTube vids featuring cheap kits leaving spikes in tires after handles broke off requiring vice-grips to remove, (if you brought em). This is the sort of challenge we'd all like to avoid, I'm guessing.

Whats been your experience ?

I'll acknowledge the brilliance of answers like "cell phone" right off the bat, so maybe we can get to actual roadside repair experiences first.

Thanx.

I have a Stop and Go that I carry. Needed it once, worked like a charm only thing I need more gas cartridges to get the tire full.

I ended up riding slowly off the highway to a gas station for the final fill.

No complaints now that I carry a S&G compressor.

I have used the little gun that shoots the mushroom shaped plug (don't remember the name) many times over the last 30 years. Have used them in at least 3 or 4 motorcycle tires and 3 car tires. Also tractor and wheel Barrow. Work great and have used the tires for thousands of miles (cycle and cars) plugged .On one car tire the nail was on the very outside edge of the tread, so much so that the plug was angled. Worked!

I have the Stop and Go that comes with the compressor and uses the mushroom plug. I have used it twice and will say that you should get aquainted with it beforehand. I suggest that you wet/lube the plug before trying to install it, it can be a bear. Once you get it in it does the job!!
