Because of the different angles they are mounted at, the light is spread out pretty good. Plus they aren't right there in your line of vision; hard to see anything lit up when there's a bright LED or four making your pupils slam shut.

Double-sided taped, sits directly above where the liner sticks out with the tour pack wiring, so not likely to get shut against something. Plus virtually no chance that a slide switch will accidentally get bumped.

There's 8 hearing aid batteries in the little "try me" battery that the lights come with! Later I can sub a 9V battery when they drain or get some cheap ones. BUY THE SET ON THE BACK OF THE HOOK, no 5 year olds have stood there pushing it's button for a half hour, should last a long time at only a minute or so per use.

Easy install, too. eBay, I think, it was like fifteen bucks. I left the original wire and the little stub that the stock antenna mounts on; I need to get an acorn nut and a chrome spacer around it yet, or something to make it look a little nicer, though.
