On the way home we went thru Chicago, and just had to stop for some deep dish pizza. I even took a slice or two home (ohio) for my mother.

Cant beat eating clam chowder out of a sour dough bread bowel. I've been told this is a "must do" when visiting. I would certainly eat here again if the opportunity arose. Parking was sketchy as there wasn't a secure spot for the bike, so we parked at the local Harley dealer just a few streets away.

I really got creative with this photo. While walking around and viewing the bay, there are telescopes to look thru, so we spent the 50 cents and got the chance to see close up views of Alcatraz. I used the Iphone to look thru and capture this photo, it reminds me of a postcard or an old TV show.

Cruising Highway 1!! I would put this road in my top5 of most scenic roads. Lots of curves to toss the bike around and many pull off areas where the views can be enjoyed.

I had to give my extra kidney to enter the forest and it was not returned when I left. The bike did not like the elevation as the rear lung got super hot since the bike was running really lean.

This cabin was super nice for the 90 bucks it cost. The USAF academy has some nice lodging option if you can stay there, with some that are super close to Pikes Peak.

While in CO Springs I notice the bike running hotter than usual, at first I figured it was because of the AFR's but I checked the oil anyhow and found I was about 1 QT low! I'll blame it on Kansas. The bike was screaming at 4200rpm thru the entire state and must of got thirsty. anyhow a stop at Mile High Harley in Denver was required to purchase oil. The staff was super friendly and nice.
