I ordered it today (1Jun17) and, according to the salesman, it should be here middle of next week. Those folks are EASY to work with! As you can see: I ordered a 6into4, and a replacement '4-speed clutch.' The salesman typed in the wrong part number (for a 4-spd clutch AND mainshaft), I called them up and got it straightened out. It's NICE to speak to folk that are native English speakers... :) Pixs and commentary when it arrives...and I have the time to install it!

STYMIED!!! Well, for a minute or two... The BOOK says both the clutch hub nut AND the compensating sprocket nut are left-hand thread... The clutch hub nut was, the compensating sprocket nut was not.

FINALLY!!! Inner primary off, and a good point to call it a day. I'm thinking that the easiest way to continue, is to remove the shocks. MOST of those tranny to plate, and plate to frame bolts are obscured by the shocks...

Part of the key, broken off in the clutch hub.

Notice the 'wrinkle' to the right of the keyway? I DON'T think I did that with a breaker bar and cheater pipe...

I THINK I sheared the key, trying to break the compensating sprocket nut loose... 3' breaker bar, 10' pipe over said breaker bar, (I reassembled the clutch and drive chain) and the Mrs. standing on the rear brake. But...

Shocks are out, now I can get at all the tranny and tranny plate mounting hardware.

I had a bad regulator, when I had the tranny rebuilt, so I decided that as long as they had the primary off, they could install a 3-phase charging system. This is, apparently, the ground from the regulator. Wedged into one of the tranny plate mounting holes, UNDER the washer. Why they didn't go to a motor mount, or at LEAST put it between a washer and the nut...

The tranny plate front mount bolts. Either cross-threaded, or they used nuts with the wrong thread pitch.

All the stud are nipped down to clear the shocks.

Turns out I was just test fitting the plate... Because of the stud on the kicker side, there isn't enough clearance to squeeze it in. Notice where the ground wire is going to go.

And it's in - loosely, to fit the inner primary.

I'm a little worried about the oil lines. Especially the middle one. It's kind of 'pinched' against the shifter housing. Now that I look at this picture, maybe a 45deg fitting on the pump...

Inner primary back in place, temporarily, to get the tranny positioned right so I can lock it down.

Inner primary installed for real, this time. New NyLock nuts on the tranny side and, ALL mounting hardware was installed with blue Loctite. Starter motor gear housing, starter motor, and starter solenoid installed and wired (with NEW 4 gauge cable).

.030" is the max, I was at .0119" so clean up the rear tire a little, throw the chain guard and drive chain back on, so I can torque down the clutch nut and compensating sprocket nut.

And the inner primary is done. Clutch is all set up. I probably should have gotten a new primary chain - it's a little loose - but now that everything is torqued down, I don't want to pull it all apart again!
