The valve grinding machine came with the seat grinding kit and was too good of a deal to walk away from , I found that stuff at a used tool store , I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

The whole home machine shop craze began innocently enough with the purchase of a small second hand drill press . I became frustrated with the state of things at work so I decided to buy my own cylinder head reconditioning equipment and it went on from there....

One time , at work , I reverse engineered a Trock plate , went home and made my own so I could turn cylinder heads and machine nquench angles in the chamber for custom pistons. I used to reverse engineer alot of tools , still have a stack of drawings of stuff I haven't made yet.

A buddy wanted to use an earlier 5 speed tapered mainshaft trans in a chopper and use a later starter . I set it up , fully assembled of course wwith the mainshaft verticle , on that 3 in 1 and bored the starter hole to the correct size.

This is a timken bearing mock up tool to establish endplay and select the correct spacer. Surprisingly , most Timken bearing sets are good to go out of the box but I check em anyways.

Years ago when I worked at the dealership, I reverse engineered a bunch of Kent Moore tools , here's the timken bearing race tool I made . It works on big twins or little twins .
