Phosphoric acid is supposed to etch the raw steel less than muriatic acid. Due to chemistry that I certainly don't understand, there is less likelihood of flash rust after draining.

Cork up the supply line hole. Used generic rubber stopper from Home Depot. Does this look like it will hold water to you? Well it shouldn't, because it didn't!

Don't forget to stop up the crossovers. I chose to use the OEM hose. I also chose to not use hose clamps because I am a moron. More on this later...

Oh damn. I cannot believe I didn't use hose clamps. I noticed the tank was leaking from the crossover pipes and had to scramble for a solution. Zip-ties to the rescue!
