I'm putting Wild 1 518's on my ride this week. Early next year, going to put a Mustang Wide Studded Solo with backrest seat on.

i have a 99...as far as the seat, i went with a mustang...the mustang is the most comfortable seat that i have rode on....and the handlebars...i went with a fatboy bar...i like the look of the bars on the flstc and it gives me a good riding position.....enjoy your new bike....

I put Evo Roadking bars on mine. They are lower, ride and look nice. I heve kept the stock seat so far. Both of these items are definately fiited to the rider, so your size and tasteshould determine what you like.

For 2 months now I have wanted to put on my 518s ... just can't take it out of commission long enough to put them on. As for a seat, I will probably go Corbin 50 solo with studs

i guess it's going to depend on your tastes and style of riding.I'm partial to 12.5 wild1 chubby's myself.

Hey Brian and SargeB,
Did you check out the 504's also? How did you choose the 518's?
I'm thinking about doing the same.

Stage 1 A/C w/ Scream'n Eagle slip-ons. I had the 25 degree injectors installed with the race download. I'm still riding the stock seat. The wife and I put over 10,000 miles on the bike last year and neither one of us complained about saddle sores. My wife suffered from falling asleep on the back of the bike on hot day's. The SE slip-ons were kinda wimpy until roughly 5,000 miles on the pipes, then they got deep and loud.I thought I had an exhaust leak or blew a baffle, but everything was tight and in its proper place.Performance is superb and I personally prefer the looks of the staggered pipes on the bike.I understand that the SE slip-ons are just relabeled cycle-shack mufflers. You might want to save yourself some money and do a set of cycle-shacks with an HD A/C and proper download/tune.
Give the stock seat a run for its money before you invest in an expensive aftermarket saddle. My only complaint about the stock saddle is that it is vinyl rather than leather. I've considered investing in a stock '07 saddle as I beleive it is improved over the stock '06 model.

Forgot about the bars. I was reluctant to keep the stock bars, but found that they maintain a very neutral riding postition. My arms are almost completely level when riding, which reduces fatigue on long rides. If the bars are too low, all your blood runs down to your hands. If the bars are too high, all the blood runs out of your hands. Maintaining a neutral position keeps blood flow even and reduces fatigue. You can adjust the bars towards you or away from you to insure a competely neutral position. I'm 5'11' and no adjustment was required. Don't change a good thing!
