06's with 8 degree injectors should demand replacement
I finally got mine replaced the other day. I took a short 50 mile ride today and the bike ain't the same. I can't give a firm number on operating temperature cause it was cool today but it hung around 185-190. Previously it was running at 205-215. I was having idle surging problems, and throttle pickup (almost a stall at quick throttle twist) issues.
Addittionally, I was repeatedly told that since I had the SERT that the injectors would not be replaced, but they would tune out the problems. They never could tune out the problems and mine got replaced and SERT retuned (no dyno) at no charge.
RE: 06's with 8 degree injectors should demand replacement
I think I read that HD started putting in the 25 degree injectors sometime in February 2006. I have an earlier 2006, which I just purchased used. No problems so far for me. I've had several carbureted HDs, and one previous injected one, and this one is the best; it's got a SERT though, which my previous injected bike didn't, and so I think that may be the reason. Also, didn't all years of earlier injected bikes have the 8 degree, untill the change to 25 in 06? Seems like I hear about problems with 06 bikes, but not earlier bikes.
RE: 06's with 8 degree injectors should demand replacement
By the way, anyone know of any So. Cal dealers that will change the injectors, even if there aren't any present problems?Seems like some dealers are willing to change the injectors even if there isn't a problem.

Thanks guys, I did confirm I have a 25 degree injector. Bike was produced in March 06 and the injector was labled 27709-06A. I could not read the rear from the left, but I was able to read the front one from the right side of the bike..Thanks again, I can rest easy.....

My '06 was built in July '05. Had 8 degree injectors. Had a stage 1 done by the dealer when I bought it and the only issue I had with the 8's was the occasional cough and stall thing. Complained to my dealer about it and they changed them out for 25's and re-flash at no charge. Bike ran a little bit better but the stalling thing went away.
RE: 06's with 8 degree injectors should demand replacement
anybody know of a dealer in Louisiana that will change the injectors? Cajun Harley Davdison said they never heard of a TSB on injectors. Mine has been cough/near stalling for two or three days now. The only thing is it is not on a regular basis.
