Finished the install yesterday, (see signature pic) had to wait to take it for a shakedown run till today due to rain. The sound is louder than the stock pipes, but not near as loud as the Rineharts, and doesn't get louder the more I wick the throttle. Engine runs a bit smoother with the two into ones. Bike wa a torques monster to begin with so am not sure about how much change there was, but it feels good, and the DTT is tuning to get it to optimum performance.
PITA install, some mods necessary, no instructions, but great fit and finish, and just the sound I was looking for, with the side benenfit of a bit smoother running.
Deep, very "throaty", and incredibly, the sounds stay at about the same level throughout the rpm band and through different throttle positions. I am amazed how much smoother the engine runs with the 2 into 1 pipes.
Hr,
Yes a whole lot quieter than the RH TD setupand quieter than Fatcats. The wife actually came downto the garage when I fired it the first time and said "Thats more like it". Good sound, louder than stock but not real loud. Yes, the system looks very aggressive, but its not loud.
Wow! That looks nice. Do you have a link for the exhaust? Love your flame job. Can only imagine how sweet it looks in person. [sm=smiley16.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]
I warn you, the owner (Bob) of the company is a cranky old brilliant SOB that has a very dry sense of humor and will only respond to calls and e-mails in one line responses once you order the pipes, although Lynn ( his wife I am assuming) is very accomodating. Wait time for the pipes is 4 to6 weeks, as they build them only when ordered, and be prepared for sticker shock, they are expensive!! Also, either you or someone that is helping install had better be a bit mechanically inclined as I think everyone I have talked to with Blackholes has had some sort of fitment issues, bracketry, or otherwise and there are NO instructions, Bob calls it an intelligence test. If you can get past all that, the pipes are great.

Thanks for the info. Just as long as I don't have to get out the welder, that would pi$$ me off if i had to cut and weld high$$ pipes.
