Default Bullet Headlamp recomendations

Does anyone know or can they recommend where to find a nice bullet chopper style headlight assembly? I really like the 5 3/4 headlamp kit Harley sells, but do not like the $329.95 price.

Any links to someone who has the same type would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

128auto recently posted about a nice looking bullet headlamp for much cheaper than that. I tried using the search to find it but couldn't. Maybe you can pm him about it or he mightfind this threadand tell you.

I got my headlight from easternperformance.com. They sell the sell the same brand of headlights as the one you linked to on ebay. Eastern Performance is great to work with, but I'm not too pleased with Accessories Unlimited (the manufacturer). The headlamp is about what you would expect for $100. That is to say, it looks good on the outside, but lacks in quality on the inside. (I had to take mine apart because I wanted to splice the wires inside the light, not under the tank.)

Anyway, long story short, after a week of riding I noticed the mirror surface was chipping and bubbling. It turned out the bubbling was actually water droplets. I emailed Accessories Unlimited with a series of questions about the warranty and recommendations on installing so water doesn't get in, etc. They replied with short, incomplete answers to some of my questions. I wonder if they actually read my email. I am still wating for them to send me the correct address to send the lens assembly for replacement.

In the meantime, I have been using the bulb housing/lens from my stock headlamp. Thankfully it fits.

Well that definately tells me NOT to buy that brand, so back to square one it looks like. I refuse to pay Harley $350 for a light

For what it's worth, a few of the guys on the Softail forum bought the same headlamp and appear satisfied. It is possible I just got a bad one. However, that doesn't change the fact their customer service SUCKS! [:@]

I have ordered mine last week, I didn't buy it from any of those ebay sellers, my buddy told me that those lights on ebay are cheap knock off, if you lucky, you get a good one but seldom. I bought one that is made by Wyatt Gatling, I got good feedback from a few buddies. I paid 169us plus shipping, still better than the HD one. Right here
