well .... the mustang seat just did not work out for me...killed my butt..like the looks of the mustang more than my sundowner.but got to take comfort over looks . put 100 miles on the seat.that was enough for me.. i know you guys tired of hearing me ramble about seats . so just thought i would update. i know many love the mustang , it just is not for me.
I try not to talk about seats anymore,LOL.
mustang was very good i must say, they give me a rma # , no questions asked. so back to my sundowner . easy on the butt ....
give it some time Voyager
my first 100 miles on the Mustang vintage solo were just as bad.
now i have 400 miles on it and I find myself surprised by the long time i can sit on it riding w/o all thegrief i got from the stock seat.
it gets comfortable with time. give it a few riding hours.
I tried it..........for less than 3 miles & took it back to the dealer.
I hated it. The seat was much wider feeling in the front & raised me up higher than my stock Street Bob seat. The handling of the bike was so different that I instantly knew it wasn't for me.
I'm sold on the Corbin Hollywood solo, This is my third Bike withone. It moves ya back 1" and lowers ya 1 1/2" at least. The front is Narrower than the tank and allows for your legs to move arround.

What he said. When I first put mine on, I was thinking this is not much better that the stock one, but shortly thereafter is started getting comfortable.

How much does that seat run Trotter?
Not like my lanky butt needs to be lowered another inch, but going back would be a big plus for me.
Comfort isn't a huge factor since I rarely ride more than 200 miles in a day.

Which Mustang seat did you get? I have the 2 piecer, with the backrest. Rode about 400 miles the other day without a hitch in my gitalong....
You can just get the front seat if thats what you want, with or without the backrest, and then get the fenderbib to cover the top of the rear fender. Real nice looking....
