Default '07 DJ PCIII Bugs, let's quantify it for DJ!

I want to understand to satisfy my own curiosity and perhaps calm myself down after my last bout with the PCIII USB from DynoJet and my '07 Street Bob.

That said, if you are curious what the issue is and don't already know...check out this thread: https://www.hdforums.com/m_1248556/m...tm.htm#1769286

Please respond honestly...and if you know someone (actually know them) the same applies.

Thanks all for your help...I just hope that the numbers will speak for themselves...

I have a PCIII on my '07 Bob that I installed myself. I bought it from Jamie at Fuel Moto and it ran great with the map he provided right out of the box, no hesitation or other issues. It ran much cooler as well. It does seem to crank for about an extra second before it starts than it did before I installed it. I had it dynoed anyway, and the tuner said he made a few minor tweaks, but that it had been pretty good to start with. With Doherty AC and V&H slip ons he got 76 HP 87 TQ. It was a pain to fit on the Bob just due to the size of the wiring harness and plug, but once that was over I have been happy.

What is the "PCIII Problem" that you are speaking of? (I haven't heard of a "PCIII Problem".) I have heard of people not happy without setting up their PCIII on a dyno... are you calling that a problem? If so, I would call that getting what you pay for. If there's another problem that I don't know about, I would certainly like to know what it is just for my personal edification...

Do you work for DJ? Kidding...

Really though, go read through that thread, it's an issue where there is a significant "stutter" for lack of better description...the link that I provided describes it all. And, having said that, there are SEVERAL of us that have this issue after multiple dyno tunes and attempted "tricks" from DynoJet with absolutely no remediation in sight.

I have read about the hesitation/stutter on take off and the extended cranking to start on this and other forums. Must be some truth to it.
