OK, as far as the dream of a center stand (I wouldn't mind having one myself) I saw in a new summer parts catalog that they had some sort of center stand. And guess what? It was priced really reasonably! Only in excess of $300. Holy Crap, parts on a Harley are mighty high priced.

A buddy of mine let me in on a tire trick a few years ago. SOS pads. Yeah, those soap impregnated steel wool pads. Which means if you had some steel wool you put some liquid soap in it and scrub away. It works great on sidewalls, whitewalls and raised white lettering. I would make sure to go easy on the lettering. If you overdo it on some brands of tire that white will end up going away on you.

I have never tried it on tires but handcleaner works great on radiator hoses.

They used brake fluid in the old days. Still works, but don't do it too often...

Soapy water and a brush, and if you still have the stock Dunlops you might need an ex girlfriend or ex wife to be's toothbrush to get into those little lines.... be sure and put her toothbrush back where you found it after use though.... [sm=bustedsign.gif]
