Default Aftermarket GPS on an Ultra

I want to mount a Garmin GPS on my Ultra with a quick release

Has anyone done that before? Some type of RAM device maybe? I don't want to do the HD upgrade to my HK stereo, so I have the flexibilty of using the GPS for my cars as well.

Any specific suggestions, or pics of an installation would be VERY appreciated. My wife tells me that Santa may well bring the device for Christmas.

Cheyenne has it right, go to cyclegadgets and you can get a mount. I use it with the medium highth arm and got a quick detach mount for my Garmin 276.

Captain, thanks so much.

The Quest (or the Quest II), I believe, is the device that Santa is bringing.

The pics are EXTREMELY helpful.

Did you get the RAM mount with the power cable? Looks like it in the second picture. Does it connect right to battery? Are you able to route the audio to the Intercom?

Glad to help. It is the power cradle (a must have as battery is good for only a couple of hours continuous operation) with the sound jack, wired power and ground to accessory leads at cig lighter, sound is plugged into aux input on radio.
This little unit is easy to read even on bright days, much better than the older screans.

I have the quest on a Harley mount so its hard wired into the bike but detachable as well. so its a clean look and nothing hanging of the handle bars. you can order the Harley mount from your stealer and the quest fits into it no problem. plus the quest comes with a car mount that you can use in other vehicles.

Wow, that looks SWEEEEEET.

Questions if I may:

How much is the Harley mount?
Does it hold the Quest securely?
When you say hardwired, does that mean it connects the power AND the audio (for verbal directions) to the bike?
Do you know what it is called specifically so I can look for it in the Harley catalog?

Thanks so much for your help.

Here is the link for the HD mounting kit $54.00.

I have also seen the Quest on the web for about $360.

This site has the quest for $369.00 scroll down the page they have the motorcycle mounting kit and a RAM mounting kit.

I have been researching the same for a while.

Let us know how it all turns out.
