Default Front fender question "little hole"

I have a wide glide 2007. Why did Harley put a small hole on the back of the front fender? Did they forget to mount something on my bike? Or what options can you suggest that whole is for?

Right now....it lets the air go thru real nice.....

I think I saw in the catalog that you can get fender extensions...like mud flaps I think. Not 100% on that though.

Jman is right. Mudflap. The hole is there so no drilling is needed.

Same hole is in myFXDWG, and I dont think there are any fender extensions / accessories for my lil skinny fender..

Next time yer riding in the rain withwith another bike close by.... check that lil hole out, and see what its doing.
I'd be willing to bet that lil hole has something to do with dispursing the water from inside the fendor.

I could be wrong, (sure as hell wouldn't be the first time heh)

maybe somebody will chime in and let us know.

SB

It is for a mud flap. The older models came with the mud flap then they made is an acc. They can make more money that way. I believe it was on the 1990's.
