any detachable saddlebags with detach sissy bar withou relocating turn signals?
Is there any detachable saddlebag mounts out there you can use with a detachable sissybar that you dont have to relocate your turn signals? Or any throwovers that wont rub the paint or anything?
RE: any detachable saddlebags with detach sissy bar withou relocating turn signals?
check out the national cycle cruiseliner bags part N1100. they do not require turn signal relocation. not sure if i like the look, but otherwise, not many options. i wish i could see a couple of sets of hardbags like the softail or v-rod bags - would like to see if they would work attached to a detachable sideplate that could be simply detached when the bag was not needed. have to be small enough to allow opening and not interfere with turn signals.

You can put some carpet tape and some cloth on the back of saddle bags so they don't rub everything as much. I like throw overs. Most folks don't want to spend any money when they git saddle bags. I got a set on my bike that I didn't have to relocate the turnsignals but I got a fixed sissy bar. I knew I wasn't going to be taking if on and off. A sissy bar is a tool like my mirrors on my bike. I got some saddle bags from JP cycles . They are made by Drag Specialities. I don't have any brackets holding them off the wheels either. They hold a pretty good amount of stuff to. They expand out. These bags are real leather. The attach to the shocks on the bike if yer riding a dyna. http://www.jpcycles.com/ProductDetai...147&cs=All

I've been using the same old pair of ÂŁ30 throwoverson every bike i've owned, they dont look like much, but they carry a lot. Rub against the shocks on the fxdc though, crossing fingers and hoping it isn't too much of a safety issue.

I bought from Fox Creek Leather http://www.foxcreekleather.com/. I liked the slanted look, no turn signal relocation, and they come on and off without removing the seat. I did purchase the soft pad to go against my paint. You are dreaming if you think you can buyleather and not have it ruboff the paint or chrome though.I'll post some pics later tonight.

I'm curious. Why does using the detach.bags force you to relocate the rear turn signals? I've been eyeing moving my rear ts to the license plate bracket or doing away with them completely and getting an integrated brakelight/turn signal license plate bracket

With the Wide Glide (and Fat Bob as well) I'm pretty sure you don't have to relocate them...you've got the longer bobtail fender, so the two bolts holding the fender to the struts aren't interfered with by the turn signals. On the other Dynas, the turn signal stock location is where the rear strut mount is for the bags.
