Default 91 Octane Gas for Touring Models

Is it really necessary to use 91 or higher octane gas? Has anyone tried lower octanes? Is it harmful to use a lower octane?

Jim

Motor runs hot, you need as much combustion resistance as possible. Lower octane can make run bad at best, damage at worst.

Might cost you $1.00 more per fill-up, but over 200 miles its not too bad.

91 only. However it some octane booster out there wherre you can run a lower octane gas but the booster cost anywhere from 7.00 to 15.00 so your not saving any money there.
