Just fired up my new system from Hogtunes and it's great!!
I had the 2 ohm Hogtunes speakers in my fairing running off the HK radio, but this is all different.
Hogtunes amp with the 5ohm speakers in the fairing (with my groovy Polk tweeters connected to them, and the same 5 ohm speakers in the lowers, all running off the Hogtunes amp. The bracket for the lowers speakers mounts to the glovebox with no mods and even angle up toward the rider - great well thought out design.
Tons more volume, tons more bass - in fact you can feel the bass on the hwy pegs. Pics coming tomorrow once I get the wiring all cleaned up and the fairing back on.
This one's a keeper - Thanks Pez!
OK - as promised here's some photos (more photos in posts below):
I don't think I'll be putting on any tweeters. I have enough highs from the speakers. If anything, I want more bass and volume. I look forward to seeing the pics of the HT's made for the lowers though.
Any one know if the gloveboxes from a FLH will fit the FLT lowers look like they would. the FLT gloveboxes have a rectangle slot instead of the closer to square the FLH's have. I'm ready to swap glove boxes if they'll fit! Hell if it's close I can make it fit

When adding the speakers in the lowers, did you have to buy new HT's for the fairing too? That wouls suck to have spent $$$ on HT's for the fairing and have to buy new 5 ohm HT's in order to match the lowers. Please tell me that is not the case.

Honestly I don't know how many different configurations are available since this this is brand new and not even on his web site yet, you'll have to ask Pez for specifics. The model that I bought was for a bike that already has the Hogtunes Ultrasound amp and speaker pods already installed. That way all my speakers run off the Hogtunes amp with the maxx bass etc for a better sound. But you would think there's gotta be a version for guys with the 2ohm Hogtunes speakers already in the fairing too......
