Ok, so I ordered the latest edition sert (not the pro) from Zanotti'sand it was backordered.
After about 3 weeks, I get an email and they are telling me that HD sent the tuners without the cd's.
They said the cd's have been discontinued! Now you must take the bike in to get it tuned.
What a load of marketing bs! Does anyone else feel like they are being herded like sheep?
Anyway, is there a way to get a copy of the damn cd or should I just do what HD wants me to do (be a good littlesheep and spend more money for the newest toy)?
I'm looking into another side of this.
I read that the new pro sert is not shipping with a cd either. You have to download the map you want online.
Maybe this is what is going on with the regular sert too?
If you look in the newest Race Catalog it says you get the CD and interface. Since you did not get the CD they should give you a full refund. It's funny that the Original SERT Kit was cables, CD and interface for $459 then it was CD and interface only for $459 and now it an interface for $459?? Seems to me HD is sticking it to the public.
Steve- Zanotti's was kind enough to send me an email before they shipped out the sert. The ball is now in my court. Still trying to figure out what to do.
At least Zanotti's stepped up and let you know prior to shipping. If yourin a big hurry you could try to get the new Pro if you can find one but that's going to cost more or use a PC III from Dynojet. If you've got time there will be more software tuners on the market over the next 2 months.
Interesting, I picked up a little inforeading this forum that HD has phased out the old SERT & has another company making the "Pro" version for them. It's probably a supply issue. Not sure about this but I don't believe you can download the base program, just the map files.
