Default Springers on Street Bob- Crash inspires customisation

Got knocked of my Street Bob Jan 11th (T-boned by MPV*) and now starting to feel better.. to everyone's amazement I got up and walked having been bashed with the bike some 20-30ft down the road (I was doing 5MPH) and the whole left side of the bike being flattened (my leg was saved by being pushed along the side of the V)

The bike has been quoted for damage repair and it looks like it may not be a write off
So before it gets rebuilt I was thinking rather than replace standard parts I could do something a bit nicer on her insurance company

I gather that springers may be quite hard to do with the design of the Dyna frame.. anyone know if it can be done?

* a van type thing (do you have Renault Espace where you are? This one was bigger) for moving kids from a-b weigh about 2 tons hurt like hell

Yeah, it's the stock fender cut down and I welded a bracket at the base to bolt up with the passenger peg bolt holes.

Checkout Paugho's website, was just over there and seen they make springer frontends specifically for the 2004-08 dyna glide models.

The police won't tell me but she was wearing one of those parkas (kenny coats) with the snorkle hood up though giving her what can only be assumed to be "excellent" peripheral vision
[sm=guilty.gif][sm=shootshoot.gif]
She has been charged with "something" as far as I know though.. and the best thing is that the two guys in the car following her were CID (criminal investigation division) cops so my witnesses don't really get much better. In fact credit where credit is due they were f***kin amazing and I was away from the scene and on my way to hospital in 12 minutes (9.00am rush hour).
One of the CID guys rides a Fireblade and was right on her case and would not allow to get in her car until it had been searched, the traffic cops were both bikers as was one the uniformed and one of the paramedics, needless to say there was not a whole load of sympathy for her!
I am enjoying the fact that while the insurance companies work out what they are going to do I have a Harley Roadster 1200 rented @ £148 a day and it goes on her bill... so on Sunday it will have cost £3108 [sm=insomnia.gif] keep this up much longer and they may as well have just bought me the damn thing
That said I am not too sold on the Roadster, feels flimsy, underpowered, brakes make the most awful grinding noise and it is rusting so fast it is almost like watching one of those time lapse films... 280 miles & 3 weeks old on Friday and it is not just details you can see large areas of corrosion.. I thought My Dyna was bad for corrosion......

My forks are DNA +2 over stock. Got 'em off eBay from outlawcycles. The bolt up is pretty straight forward. The only thing I had to modify was the bottom neck bearing needed shimming to keep the lower triple tree from bottoming out on the frame neck. $0.75 washer from the hardware store.
