Default front fork boot

Ok, I am trying everything under search to find the post on what the part number was that some have used to get the rubber fork boots. Can anyone help me out here. Sorry guys, I did the search thing and nothing is coming up.
Again, thanks for your time.

Mine are the Daystar Series 408 boots. They're actually for a dirtbike, so they're about twice as long as they need to be - but they are the correct diameter for the 49mm forks on the '07 and '08 Dynas. They were real easy to cut down.

Other people are using boots for a 1970 BSA or Triumph, from a guy on eBay. Apparently, these fit as-is, with no cutting:

Yup - what risdo posted - I used the Daystars also, no issues. Pics in gallery.

Thanks for this information. I have been trying to find some rubberfork boots that will fit for some time. One question though... When installing these rubber boots do you remove the dust cover that snaps onto the top of the lower leg, or does the rubber boot slide over it?

mine are the BSA boots. As you can see from my pic, I need to resolve the issue of the boot riding up as the tubes compress and extend - anyone have any ideas for a fix to that?

For the 39mm forks on mine I used the boots for a Kawolski W650; I took off the chrome dust seal covers and use a light smear of contact cement or grip cement on the boots before putting them in place...have a Nightster black fork brace coming from Superbrace; it has a boss on it for the boots to go over.

The BSA/Triumph fork boots have a lip on the inside bottom. If you push the bottom of the boot over the stock HD dust cover, the boot will lock on and your boots will not hang on the fork tubes anymore.

I just trimmed the daystars so they'd fit into that groove, and they're held on by a simple ziptie.

everyone I really appreaciate all this imput. I ordered my daystars today and well was wondering how did you all install them? I know this was all posted in an earlier post but I can not for the life of me remember how everyone installed them. i have my front rim off and fender, can I just then run them up the lower forks with some kind of like soap water combo and attach them as stated above with wire tires or ? Again, I appreciate all the help.
