New HD owner in Wichita, KS
I live in Wichita but the bike was located in St. Louis. We go ahead and purchase the bike with the thought I would ride it back as the weather is predicted to be 50+ the whole trip. A bit chilly but nothing intolerable.
First, it snowed in St. Louis though the weather was supposed to be 51 degrees and sunny all day. Because of this, we lost about 4 hours.
We stopped in KC for the night because I did not really feel like riding at night and in below freezing temps.
I get going in the morning and stop in Emporia for some lunch. I get out and the bike won't start. Turns out that the battery cable came loose. Fixed that up but lost an hour in the process.
Get going to Wichita and from out of nowhere I start getting pounded by wind. I stop at the Cassidy service station and take a look at the weather map. I find that there is 35-40 MPH win coming across the highway.
As if my day could not possibly get better. lol
I wind up having to do about 50 from Cassidy to Wichita because the wind keeps whipping the bike around. To top it all off, this new found "breeze" made me even colder than before.
I get to El Dorado and say **** it, and keep going on home. Soon as I get in I strip and hit a nice warm shower to soothe my poor blue fingers. lol
So.... here are some pics of my new dirty girl.
