What is this download called, and is it worth getting.
What is the download called that turns the back cylinder off if the engine gets to hot, or the rpm's drop so low? My guess is that it is not this Stage one I hear about. I know that my dealer well install it, and uninstall it once free. Is it worth getting for a 08 Ultra? What else does it do.
RE: What is this download called, and is it worth getting.
I spoke to one of the HD shops around here and they advised against the download! He said they had installed it on several police bikes and they did not like it at all. He did say that it is really intended for parades and such for your normal person they would not need it. Of course that is one person and the next may tell you different.
Living in CO where it is not too hot I will not be getting the download.
RE: What is this download called, and is it worth getting.
I have an 07. I had it enabled on my scoot last year. It does work well when the head temps hit the trigger point. Rear cylinder shuts down and cools off very quickly. As soon as you roll on the throttle, the rear cylinder kicks back in with no hesitation.
I have not seen any ill effects so far and it does reduce the heat when it kicks in. Hope this helps.
