Well, I found a way to help with windshield buffeting...PICS ADDED!!
I used a Touring fork air baffle. Part # 58520-79TC. You can pick them up for $25 including tax. I was reading in the Touring section and those guys think they are the best thing since sliced bread. I had to try it out. For $25 and a little modding, it couldn't hurt.
I told myself I wouldn't post without pics...but I gotta keep you guys in suspense!
I just took it for a short ride, it was dark when I finished up. Seemed to eliminate buffeting up to about 65mph, then it took to about 50%, could be a little better of what it was up to 80. A little modding with the dremel, but a very clean install. It honestly would look stock to the unknowing eye.
I promise to post pics tomorrow after work, I'll get some shots in the light.

hell, just ordered 58520-79a (black one, $12.50 or so, 14.50 with tax). For 15 bucks, I will give a shot. If any one is not sure where or what this is like I was until I found some pics, it is a small piece of metal that mounts under the bottom triple tree flat with a curve like a wing down. will see

You're a tease, you little ****! I'm interested in seeing how this works -- great thinkin' on your part.
My head vibrates when I ride with the fullface helmet in the cold weather at highway speeds. If this can help out and is with in my ability to modify, I'll be stealin' your idea if it's OK with you.

OK, well I first measured up underneath my forks, then cut out what I needed off. I used the bolt that is at the bottom of the neck that holds the brake line. This may be different on the newer models. Then I dremeled out the center hole to make it fit over the center ridge on the underneath of the triple tree. Because I was only using one screw this would keep it from turning. Like I said, all of this may be different with the newer bikes with newer triple trees. Mine is an 02. I just cut along the 90 degree bend to make it fit inside the ridges underneath of the triple tree, then rounded the edges at the rear because they were sharp and the rounded looks better. Yes, I know the cut was off center...I did this because it's kinda close to the brake line. I have about 1/2" now.
As mentioned above they do make a black one for you chromophobics.
I wear a DOT helmet (by choice) and it still gets a little wobbly, this is not a miracle cure, but it helps. I imagine if I didn't wear a helmet it would be even better.

I used a dremel cutting wheel for the whole project, it came with the dremel. Just a standard cutting wheel I suppose? Usually I break a few but one did it. Then just sanded the edges.
PS I taped off the whole piece while doing this so the chrome stayed nice
