So does everyone get the pitch that anything and everything HD that dealer puts on your bike at the time of sale has the full factory warranty and anything you or the dealer add is one year?
speaking of warranty - I was talked into buying the "tire damage" part for $199.. Had real buyer remorse after I walked out... well, that was two years ago... got a flat on Highway one, tire was cut - HD just sent me a check for $325.. cost of tire, labor and one night at the Holiday Inn / all part of the warranty.... Now I am over the buyers "remorse" I know its a gamble... First flat in 11 years... By the way,,, check out "Ride on" I just bought it for my bike and my 66 vette...

funny you mention the 'wheel/tire' coverage. i was riding the other day with a buddy who bought an 05 Deuce. i was looking at his front wheel as we were riding (50+ mph) and noticed that his rim was bent. when we stopped, we noticed that his front tire was beginning to dry-rot. now, this guy is an absolute GENIOUS auto mechanic- so, hes schooled in mechanics.
i told him about the wtty i bought with the RKC and about the tire/wheel coverage... when he called the dealer to inquire- they gave him some bullchit 'oh... the warranty changed from 05 to 06. you may not have the optional wheel and tire coverage. wait... i dont think it was even available'
most people don't get it because after you open your wallet for the ext warranty they then want to get you for another $199 for the tire and wheel - in a weak moment (thank God) I did it - well, I am now ahead of the game but this is the first tire damage in 11 years...
I know for sure it is offered - while at the Santa Maria HD last week (buying the new tire) I picked up the brochure for the Ex Warranty and it is there (its a rider on the main coverage). Possible the sales person just didn't mention it to your buddie??????
