Ok, guys, I'm looking for some input here. Wife has been showing interest in getting her endorsement and "taking over" the sporty. Even went so far as to sit on a few other models and said they just diddn't feel right. I'm looking at this as an opportunity to, perhaps, maybe, just maybe, getting another ride at the end of next summer.
Been thinking about it, and decided the Duece is all me. Looked at them, sat on them, priced them out, just about everything you can do without riding one.
So here's where you all come in.
What would you say to someone who is a nonvice rider (note: NOT noob rider) to convince them to buy a 1200c over a Softie Deuce?
I'm going to post this in the softtail section for responses on the other side of the fence.

Any and all opinons welcome.
That's easy!
"WHY on earth would you buy a Deuce when you could have had a Sportster?"

LOL!
OR
"WHY on earth would you buy a Deuce when you could have had a real motorcycle?"
IMHO, you are leaving out the most important part. RIDE THEM, then decide. It's the same thing I tell my guitar customers. It will speak to you when you play/ride it. Go by that and you will be happy.

Ok, dont get me wrong, I'm not saying I dont like my sporty. My wife has got her eye on it, opening up the door for me to possibly pick up another bike.
Hey, you know I was only kidding with my posts, right? I just couldn't resist.
Hell, if you want the Deuce you don't need input from us or the results of a survey, you just need to make a deal with the stealer! Besides, at the end of next summer there won't be any '07 Deuces left and you'll be looking at an '08. What are they going to look like or be like??? I say, get the little woman on your Sporty and go get your Deuce if that's what you want. Like they say in the antiques business: "If you see it and you like it, better buy it now, for tomorrow it WILL be gone..."
