Default KSC693 6x9s in lids and BT 7.1s in fairing

Best 4ch amp? Clear and loud. I should add that Im currently running the kennwood HU with the SS 1000D and dont want to lose any volume. will the 4180 be a huge upgrade? i should also add that I have not put the 7.1s in yet. They should be here Tuesday.

I've had both amps in my fairing and my experience was that I got better overall sound pushing the 7.1's with the 1000D. Loudness was comparably the same. YMMV.

Thanks. Thats interesting. Considering the price difference, I wouldve thought the 4180 would blow away the 1000D.

In my experience the tunability of the amp made all the difference. The 4180 is still a solid amp choice but for those that want more control over their audio, you want a tunable amp. There's better than the 1000D but it's a solid amp in its own right. I'm still running the 1000D and it performs flawlessly.
