Default Batwing Fairing

Hey guys......looking for suggestions on aftermarket fairing w/audio for my '13 RK. Taking price out of the equation, who don you think puts out the best product (craftsmanship/quality, material/durability, components/sound ) with the best sound! After all, the bottom line is the sound quality. I appreciate all comments and feedback, thanks. Safe riding all!!!

I have experience with Reckless Fairings and have seen a couple of the Woodys. Both are well made. That being said, I wouldn't buy one with their audio setups in it. I'd buy a hollow shell if I could and put my own components in it. Far better bang for your buck.

I have a Wide Open fairing on my Road King. The fairing is not user friendly for audio setups. It will only accept 5.25" speakers and if you want to stick a amp in it you have to use a short chassis head unit .

Default Reckless fairing

I cannot recommend the Reckless fairing. I'm having MAJOR headaches with them at the moment. I ordered their fairing for my FatBoy. It does not fit. Dealt with Reckless "tech support"... no luck. Spoke Face to face with Alex (claimed to be the owner) and his second in command out in Sturgis. Emailed them the pics that Alex requested... no response whatsoever. After 4 consecutive days of phone calls, they want me to pay for return shipping AND pay a 15% restocking fee! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!

How does it NOT fit? Have you changed handlebars?

The bottom edge of the fairing doesn't clear the forks. Alex believes that the fairing may have been drilled for a different bike model.

No actual experience with them but a Company affiliated with Long Ride Shields, Black Hills Billet sells a batwing for the RK.. don't know if you can build your own audio with them and it struck me as pretty high dollar...

Man I hate to hear that. I've bought more than a fair share of their fairings for different bikes I've owned and no issues they didn't fix quickly. Good luck man and if it's their issue I'd hold to your position.
