Default Sealed Beam?

The stock headlamp on my 2011 Street Bob is terrible. I've already replaced the bulb with a better Silverstar, but that doesn't eliminate the shadows and low cut-off that leave me blinded past 100 ft.

Is it possible to replace the lense and reflector with a 5-3/4" sealed beam unit?

I found this at J& P...

I should say that LED's and such, are out of reach for me.

Sealed beam lamps will give much worse performance than what you have now - you can install a higher wattage bulb but there is a risk that the added current draw could blow fuses, melt wires or even cause a fire. I would save up for an LED, you can get them online at about $320

Might the solution be to add an Auxiliary lighting kit? The H-D kit I added can use either Halogen bulbs or sealed beam lamps. The Halogen bulbs themselves are replaceable where the SBs are not. You can aim the aux lights too.
