Default Engine Guard for Extended forward controls.

I'm finding out that the parts guy at my local Harley dealer is pretty muchno goodto my needs. My question is, does anyone have an engine guard on their dyna thats equipped with extended forward controls? The Dealer doesnt know if the dyna forward controls engine guard fits with EXTENDED forwards.

i have the guard and fowards, no problem.but if you use extended i dont think you will have a problem. but your feet will be inside the gaurd, so if you have to move your feet real quick you might get caught up in the gaurd. because your feet will be inside the loops, then you will have to pull your feet out of the loops first to put them down. could cause you a problem

thanks for the input. My main concern is the pegs clearing the bottom part of the guard. if they do i believe with the 3" extension my feet wouldnt be too far in, I hope.

Default RE: Engine Guard for Extended forward controls.

My husband has 05Dyna Superglide and we searched for engine guard to fit w/fwd controls. HD doesn't specifically make one for this model with fwd controls. Finally, foundout that the engine guard for 05 Wide Glide will fit. Bought it, put it one, fit fine. There was no problem w/the fwd control and his foot pegs at all. Then about 3 weeks into it, he noticed that when he hit a bump, it was actually hitting his fender. We were sick about this. It seems that there was a reason HD didn't have an engine guard foruse w/fwd controls.I say this to let you know to be careful and make sure that you are not damaging your fender. We are having to take off the guard and repaint the fender. We even tried getting new fork springs and using heavier fork oil so that it wouldn't ding the fender. Again, no luck.
