I do not have a wide glide, I do have a XL1200C with fwd controls and an engine guard. I have a size 12 boot and it took a couple of rides to get used to it as my foot can hit brake pedal and engine guard. I am used to it now and muscle memory keeps me away from engine guard. I believe you would have better clearance on your bike as the engine guard for a Dynas is wider than a sportster
