Default Engine guard

I just recently bought a 1999 Sportster 883 Hugger and would like to install an engine guard. I have forward controls and have had a difficult time locating a guard that would accomodate this feature. Most of the late model guards are only for center controls. Does this really make a difference in functionality and installation? Be kind ... I'm a newbie with a barely tolerable grasp of this big bad machine. Hence ... the engine guard!

Thanks! I'll check that out ... was it the standard engine guard or specific to forward controls? Nice bike!

Thumbs up Engine guard

Hey,

Engine guards are a good idea, I didn't care what anyone says, if you go down for any reason you will be glad you had this option. Dont listen to the guys saying it detracts from... they're wrong.

I have a nice mustache guard which I use as foot rests on longer highway rides. Check them out, for the price on Ebay their great.

It's just a standard guard.....DK will tell you on there if it does or does not work with f/c. i think just about all the options on there do work with forwards.

Thanks!
