Default Fat cat hitting rear axle nut on FXDX?

Anyone had this problem? Solutions? I'll probably have to get some loner bolts where the muffler mounts to the support bracket and space it out some. Other than that...the pipe with BB baffle is BAD ***!!!

Tis a bad *** pipe indeed. I remember I had to wiggle mine around a bit to get it to fit just right, I'm thinkin you're on the right track with some spacer washers.
What did you do about the exhaust mount on the bottom of the cam cover?

Don't lets start on that one again . There's some believe it has to come in from that side for a very good reason.

Looked into it a little more. Turns out the previous owner flipped the axle and it's backwards now. The castle nut is on the exhaust side. The service manual shows it the other way. Apparently a lot of people flip it to make taking the back wheel of easier. If I flip it back the other way it'll give me half and inch to an inch or so of more clearance. I have it spaced out with longer bolts and a spacer now but when I change the tires next week I'll flip it back to the correct way. So far I think the fat cat is an awesome pipe. The bike looks and sounds killer. The butt dyno says I've gained some power as well. It will go on the dyno for some tuning and rejetting if needed when the tires are done next week so we'll see what I really gained. Anyone looking for a D&D exhaust should give Automotive Machine and Supply a call. Steve is who I think I dealt with. Cheaper than anywhere else I could find and I looked for a couple months.
