Problems from factory.
1-exaust bracket not tightened and rattled out
2-loose heat sheilds
3-brake pad sticking -not centered ,took apart, no lube on piston.

4-Brake on forward control not returning home fast, took apart, no lube

Anyone know the torque specs for the front and rear axel, and or
motor mount?
LOL....if it was that simple...
dealers here dont return phone calls, make endless excuses, dont warrenty **** once you put a pipe on,to get in is at least a 30 day wait and they do very bad work and make even worse diagnostics.
Ive had the bike a month and have had nothing but bad experinces with both near by Harley dealers.
My harley is now my harley and i will be the only one turnng wrenches on it.
Here are the torque values for my '010; newer models may or may not be different, so use at your own discretion:
front axle nut: 62-67 ft-lbs (84.1-90.9 Nm)
front axle cap: 132-180 in-lbs (14.9-20.3 Nm)
rear axle nut: 95-105 ft-lbs (128.8-142.4 Nm)
front mtr mount to frame bolts: 22-27 ft-lbs (30-36 Nm)
Hope that helps.

It probably won't do you any good, but I would complain to the MOCO, if nothing else to get it off your chest.
This is normal, and everyone should be going over their bikes in the first 500 miles or so and check it out. This is laid out in the factory service manual (which you should buy, it is a MUST have if you do anything to your bike).
Now the lack of lube is sad but things happen. I say what you've experienced is not too terribly out of line with a new bike. I've had fasteners come lose on every bike I've owned and I've learned over the years to go over the bike myself. These harley's vibe pretty good so get a manual and go over the bike.

This is normal for a harley? Really?
Ive bought a new honda 500 foreman,gsxr 750,and a few F-350's with no issues.
I understand the danas vibe quite a bit and i also realize the heat sheild will expand and contract and need tightening from time to time but the exhaust bracket certianly didnt vibrate off, it wasnt never tightened.
what scares me isnt the lose bracket its the general lack of care that was put into the assembly of my 20,000 dollar bike....what else did they skip/forget..... is my tire gonna lock up or fall off in the twisties, is my engine gonna throw a rod? are the triple trees and bearings all installed to spec? Is my girlfriend gonna be on the back when i have a mechanical failure???when i pay 20g for a harley i expect it to be put together properly and checked over by the dealer, neither was done to my expectations.

The dealer does final assembly so really, and it does sound like you have a crappy dealer they are the ones that could have left a few things loose as well. I'm not sure how far torn down the bikes come from the factory but the dealer puts them together, does a test ride and it "should" be right. I do agree, the bikes are not cheap but again...I don't trust people to do their jobs. Which is why I've always went over my bikes/cars/trucks to double check things. I lost a few plastic fasteners on my last ninja and that was just on the ride home from the dealer. They replaced them no problem but again...
it does not hurt to double check someone else's work. It takes less than an hour to take a torque wrench and hit your vital points...and some are part of your pre ride inspection such as checking your tire pressure, belt for tightness/damage, brakes, lights, etc.
Things happen, I would not dismiss the brand with a few small things. Be thankful your not one of the guys who got a bike with a bad engine or transmission or other major issue!
Glad you got your manual coming, it is worth the cash. And you'll be able to check to see if the dealer did your bike alignment correctly as well, with many reporting their bikes not in proper alignment to begin with!
We can go on about the manufacturer cutting corners with crappy bearings, a frame with known flexing/handling issues they refuse to address, tires that were faulty on new wide glides...and on and on. But in the end, everything I've ever bought I found faults with, it really depends on how deep you look or what your trying to get at.
