Default Just bought PCIII on closeout

Hi
After all the reading I have done and still getting use to the heat/motor noises that Harley's make, along with the slip-ons I added (planning on a heavy breather intake also) I decided to go with a PCIII. I was is the dealership today talking about how lean the bikes are in stock form etc... I asked about remaps I was quotes $220 plus parts for a single reprogram. Then I asked about buying a programmer. I was quoted something like $450 for the programmer and if I wanted to program it myself add a cable and I think software for something like $150-180?

Well that led me to start reading in this forum a lot and it seems the PCIII is pretty liked by a few people. So I did some searching and found a store that has them on clearance for $295 with free shipping and no tax. This comes with everything from the unit, cables, software etc... I wanted to pass this on if anyone else is considering one. I am not sure of the forum rules with naming the place, so if anyone replies I will post it up. If not a quick search will find it. It is a main retailer.

I am expecting it on this coming Wednesday. I am super excited to play with this. Just for now to richen it up a tad and see how the heat changes.

I'll post up a report when I get it installed

Ok thanks. Got a little excited seeing "was $399 now $ 295"

Ha ha

I know the pc3 comes with all that. I was shocked the*SE you need to buy the unit, the cable and the software separately and for the price too. I am sure it's worth it but it is just out of my budget right now. I sill need to add a sissy bar for the wife, an intake, ape hangers with all the extended stuff and then getting into oil cooler or parade fan (live in socal with traffic) and a ton of small upgrades/personalisation

I can imagine I am preaching to the choir about budgeting for addon and upgrades. Lol

the pc3 is great when I put the v&h big radious and k&n pod filter on the bike it ran like ****, free download from P.C onto the lap top , connect usb to lap top, retuned in 2 minutes, and im a computer ****,, so its that easy, P.C have different maps for pipes , filters ,and seeing you don't use the oxygen scensors in the pipes with pc3..

"Just bought PCIII..... "

I'm sorry.

Piece of junk, IMHO. I've had two......first, they bypass the O2 sensors......not a good idea......second, my bike ran terrible UNTIL I took it off, and this was after MANY expensive trips to the dealer, new downloads, dyno time, etc................third, VERY knowledgeable HD mechanic with 30 years experience told me to "get that $#%%^& OFF your bike!", he was right.............and fourth, even if you get it to work on your bike, the connections are very susceptible to water and tend to only last a couple years before they short out and leave you stranded. Just my .02, but I know a lot of people who agree with me. Good luck.

cancel that order fast as you can and call fuelmoto.usa on monday. talk to them, I'm sure they sell pcIII's for less than that and will constantly help you with maps or trouble shooting........., forever as long as you own it. Plus I think the pc-V is about that price, but mind what hdforever said because pc-III and pc-V are close to the same type of hardware. That being said they still work just got to keep them as dry as possible..
