S&S 570G cams, experiential report
Had a 2004 Wide Glide in for an overhaul today, lifters, cam bearings, oil leaks etc.
It has S&S 570G cams, 95 inch big bore, a shaved head, S&S 52mm carby and a 2:1 pipe....at low speeds its a torque monster and chugs along at the legal limit with no apparent stress and its a very relaxing ride...open the throttle and the power comes in like a switch at about 3K revs and then its Star Ship Enterprise Time......jeepers its quick!
I think the 570G might become my favourite cam
