What oil did you take out and what did you put in?
It sounds like your oil pump is getting weak.
A thicker oil will solve your problem.

What rpm's are you at when idling?

No it doesn't and whoever told you to has very little knowledge for an EVO's oil system.
The oil filter is the last thing the oil goes through before it gets back to the oil tank.

What rpm is your idle?
If it is less than 1k rpms then up your idle.

If that didn't help try running some straight 60 weight.
If that doesn't do it try some 70 weight.

Then you are probably ok on idle.
Try a thicker oil.

Lucas oil stabilizer from auto store is great at maintaining viscosity when hot. Drain some and add that.

Default Same problem oil light new M8

I had the same problem with mine right before delivery was the pressure relief valve stuck open. So at rpm below 1200 the light would illuminate. Above that would extinguish. They replace the oil pump and while they were in ther I had them install stage 2 tork cam. No labor charge. Bike is running fantastic beat problem you could have. Inquire about the cam. Should be no labor.

We are talking about Evo's here which is two generations older than your M8.

This thread is actually older than your bike. 2015 is the year of this thread
