Default Ignition switch stuck in form lock mode

I was doing some mods on my 2011 flhx and had the ignition removed, when I put it back together the switch is stuck in the fork lock mode. The forks are NOT locked, I tried everything i could and it will not turn either way. Help please!

Did you use a ignition switch housing alignment tool?

Read the threads above. Make sure you are using the ignition alignment tool. It is the only way to ensure proper alignment,

To get it back out gently wiggle it with the key in same as when you removed it. Wiggle bars it will come back out. Then follow the advise give. A long flat screw drive will align it also if you take your time. Done it a few times.

I have a 2007 Ultra . Have removed and replaced the switch many times. Never used a alignment tool. Here is video of how to do it. But. I don't even have/use home made tool.

I had an issue last year with mine on my 16 Road glide. I looked at it and just felt like that was something that I was going to f up so took it to an Indy to replace.
