good call..

it was my understanding that the docking kit is if u wanna make it QUICK detachable? Correct? So if detaching is not a big concern, couldnt u just come up with ur own hardware?

Also anyone know if the crossbones requires the relocation brackets for the tail signals?

Take a look at the docking hardware, then take measurements and quantities of spacers, bolts, washers, lock washers. Then go to the hardware store and check the prices. That's the best advice I can give you.

i mounted the sissy bar on my XB...didnt want it de-tachable...

made some spacers out of Delrin(black nylon), and got longer S/S bolts...

had to grind a little of the sissy bar mount to clear the turn signals...didnt want the relocation kit...

If you want it QD buy the kit. By the time you **** around finding all the right bolts washers spacers and the little plastic or rubber gizmos the brackets slide on you may as well have bought it. If you want to bolt it by a bar and pad that is not qd or just buy the solid mount brackets and make your own bar and backrest here ya go http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
