Question xm signal reception very poor,, help?

I just got a new CVO Limited, and am very disappointed over the poor xm reception. Is there any thing I can do to improve it or can I buy a booster or something. And why does a car with xm not have any problems? My dealer said it there was nothing wrong with it, but he did not just spend over 40 grand for a bike. Oh yeah I am not talking about drive through a tunnel or any thing. It will loose signal with a good view of the horizon.

Could be a loose connection or poorly placed antenna. I know they moved mine one time and it started cutting in and out. I had them move it back to where it started.

In the faring, above the radio head unit on a bracket. You can go to best buy and buy a larger auto antenna, but try moving that one around a bit first, and make sure all of the connections are good. As a last resort, take a regular auto antenna and route it to your tour pac and mount it on the lid in the center. It looks fine and works great.

And WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!

Like yours, mine was inside the fairing. I moved mine to the outside, on top of the left 'brow' of the inner fairing. The reception has been much better since. It's still not as good as a car with a big flat ground plane, but much better.
