Default Intermittent charging system issue

I have had 4 instances where I start the bike up and the battery light is on and check engine light is on. The code stored in the ECM is P0562- voltage low. Twice the lights went off and the system started charging , before I could even begin to test the bike. The one time It stayed on until I could test it, It indeed was not charging. I unplugged the regulator from the stator and tested the stator output. It tested good. I reconnected the regulator and it started charging again. Brand new battery, All connections and grounds have been inspected. This happened again to me this week on the way to Sturgis. Light comes on at 70mph on interstate. Kept driving, 5 miles later, lights go off. No more trouble for next 800 miles. I'm thinking intermittent failure in regulator. Anybody else ever see this?

Sounds like connection problem. Check and dielectric grease stator to regulator and regulator input connector. Also make sure battery terms are clean/tight and that main/thick cables are up against terminals(not over tender/accy connections).

Yeah, Connections are what I keep thinking too. I had not thought about the dielectric though. Also will recheck battery connections. Thanks. Until I figure this out,I'm afraid to go any distance from home.
