Default Right hand dash accessory switch FLHTK

I'm looking for a solution for my 2014 ultra. I have stuff hooked up to the left hand accessory switch bank. Harley makes this easy. You can purchase additional switches for about $15 each and they provide you with a cable that plugs into the accessory plug located behind the left hand side panel. All this works great.

Now the rub. In Harley$ infinite wisdom they provide a spot on the right hand dash that has filler plugs and the necessary wiring for adding a second switch assembly. There are 3 additional circuits that go from behind the dash to the same accessory plug mentioned above. The problem is there is not any switch assembly available that will fit into the right hand dash. You can purchase the same switch assembly as is used on the left side but to get it to physically mount you have to turn it upside down. I've even tried a cvo right hand switch assembly but that does not fit either. (mounting holds don't line up). Anyone have any ideas? Other than that the bike is great......

Harley says that there is nothing available and I'm suppose to be content with that. All the internal wiring is present ( I bought the service manual and have an electronic background) I did have to build a cable that uses the correct Molex connector but having said all that there is no way to enable half the circuits that are available.

I'm going into year 2 looking for some kind of solution and aside from buying a left hand which and mounting it upside down I don't see any other alternative.

The answer to your question is: You will need to purchase the switchpak for the CVO that operates the saddlebag lock & unlock. It will plug directly into the wiring harness that is dead ended under the cowl. Then you will purchase the push buttons seperately that you want for around $15.00 each. You will have a choice of light or aux emblem on the push button. Then you will use a very small screw driver to gently snap the cover off the push button assembly and reverse it so it will not be upside down. Snap it back on and insert it into the switchpak and lock it. You are done. NO the left side switchpak will not fit, period!!

I had the same issue. Dealer said one may come out in the new P&A catalog, but not sure. Please note if this solves the problem.

I only need the switch buttons. I already have the switch base on both sides. From your post it appears that you pried the top off of the buttons and flipped them.

Actually I tried this. After explaining my predicament to the dealer and them agreeing to take the parts back if it did not fit, I got the cvo switchpack. There is a retaining clip that holds the pushbuttons in. You can remove this and replace the lock and unlock momentary switches with the normal acc pushbuttons. All this looks good on paper but when you go to mount the new cvo switch pack on the right side it will not fit. The mounting holds are asymmetrical i.e. they are of different length from the switch centerline. It will fit if you turn it upside down. I took my dash into the dealer and showed them the problem. They graciously agreed to take the parts back ($137, switchpack and 3 switches). On a cvo it may be that the left and right switch pack are the same but that is not the case on my cvo.

After having read the responses several time I think I understand what you are saying.....I was replacing the buttons. You are saying that I need to take the new button(s) and flip the cap over. I'll give this a try.. thanks....
